The outspoken Senator Sani took to his Facebook page to express his concerns on Monday.
He said that selling the assets to fund the budget would not be enough, mocking that they should also cal for the selling of coat of arms.
AUTHENTIC News Daily also understands from the comment that he is doubting the motives of those championing such calls.
“If we have to sell our national assets to fund the 2016 budget;then we have to sell our coat of arms, national flags and anthem to fund the 2017 budget;as for the 2018 budget, the nation move from recession to receivership ,then we auction the whole territorial land mass of our country to the Bourgeoisie class to raise cash;then we all live on tenancy. This is what our ‘lumpen capitalists’ want,” he said.
It would be recalled that the call for the sale of national assets was championed by Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and reechoed by Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
