CBN Cashless Policy Sensitization excites North East towns

Traditional rulers and citizens of major towns in North Eastern states of Bauchi and Gombe are excited about the ongoing CBN cashless policy  sensitization programme, which is being carried out by  Bizi Mobile Cashless Consultant.
The sensitization programme which is designed to cover the rural areas in each five local government areas in Bauchi, and several others in Gombe State.
Places that were stormed included markets, lectures in the tertiary  institutions and meetings with traditional rulers, among others.
Resounded  in his speech at the various places visited, the MD/CEO Bizi Mobile Cashless Consultant Limited, Alhaji Aminu Aminu Bizi explained that the sensitization policy was aimed at encouraging Nigerians to explore other channels in meeting their payment and money transaction needs.
” The cashless Nigeria is a central bank of Nigeria initiative to encourage people to use other payment channels instead of cash. It doesn’t mean that there will be no more cash in Nigeria, it only means that people can use either cards or mobile phone or the Internet to pay for goods and services, as an alternative to cash,” he said.
He also said  that these channels are not only inexpensive but also safer and more convenient than using cash.
“It  also reduces the cost of banking services, drives financial inclusion and also it will reduce high security and safety risks, eg, kidnapping, robberies, and other cash related crimes,” he pointed out.
Places visited by the Bizi Mobile team in Gombe and Bauchi states are; Kasheri, Billiri, Dukku, Dass, Misau, Giade, towns.
In their different remarks, the traditional rulers  commended CBN for the implementation of this policy, and also comments CBN for choosing Bizi Mobile as cashless consultants.
Similarly, Gombe Internal Revenue Service  commended Bizi Mobile for taking the sensitization campaign to the grassroots, while using the opportunity to seek for  partnership with the firm.
