Tebu Community Rubbishes Chevron For Featuring Uncompleted Project In 2017 Calendar 


    Tebu Community in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State on Saturday, rubbished Chevron Nigeria Limited’s April 2017 Calender where it allegedly showcased an uncompleted project as part of its host community development project in its domain.
    Reacting to the calendar by Chevron Nigeria Limited in a statement signed by Barr. Patrick Tobuye of Osawota Chambers on behalf of Tebu Community, the company has gained full credit from the world for the uncompleted and non-functional project thereby, putting the people in bad light.
    Tebu Community said,” First, there is no water supply from  the project site to Tebu and environs as anticipated by the project and Chevron Nigeria Limited. Secondly, there is no electricity supply from either the turbine and/ or generator plant to the site of the project from Olero flow station.”
    Tebu Community called on Chevron Nigeria Limited, CNL to the complete Water Project sited at Olero Flow Station and make it functional for the good health and welfare of its people.
    “We respectively call on Chevron Nigeria Limited to do the needful.”
    The Community also requested Chevron Nigeria Limited to revisit the Global Memorandum of Understanding, GMoU signed with them for the purpose of running portable pipe-borne water and electricity from their flow station at Olero to Tebu Community.
