For several projects embarked upon by Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State, several people of Kauru Local Government Area have lauded the administration for providing them with dividends of democracy.
The projects range from construction of a 45 kilometre road in Kumana, construction of bridge and construction of 23 boreholes in Kusau, Chawai and Kauri.
This was expressed by different stakeholders when Kaduna State based Awareness Forum stormed the local government area in continuation of a tour of the 23 local government areas in the state.
Addressing the people of Kauru, its Chairman Comrade Rabiu Danbaba said, “We embarked on this tour to monitor the works done by Governor el-Rufai as well as to hear people’s reactions and challenges on the projects.
“It is our responsibility to ensure that each nooks and crannies benefit from Governor el-Rufai’s dividends of democracy.”
Also in their separate remarks, the District Head of Kauru who was represented by the Secretary of Kauru Chiefdom, Alhaji Muhammad Yusuf Kauru and the Chief of Kumana Chiefdom Mr. Sule D. Meteh, commended the association for the visit.
They also urged the state government to put eyes on some of the contractors handling the projects as some of them have abandoned the projects.
They expressed appreciation for the projects being embarked upon by the state government.
Also in their separate remarks, Councillor in the area, Hon Sulaiman Tanko Gishi and Youth Leader of Kumana, Mr Manasi Baqo, commended Governor el-Rufai on the projects initiated in their area, ranging from construction of 45 kilometre road in Kumana, construction of a bridge and construction of 23 boreholes in Kusau, Chawai and Kauri.
The aim of the forum is to monitor and sensitize the people of the state over the projects being executed under the able leadership of Governor Nasir
The tour was initiated by the office of Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Malam Uba Sani.
