PAN Unveils 301 Midlife, Vows To Dominate Automobile Market

    Vowing to take back its rightful place as the first choice executive vehicle in Nigeria, Peugeot Automobile of Nigeria (PAN) on Thursday unveiled the new 301 Midlife.

    The launching was held within its plant in Kakuri Industrial Area, Kaduna and attracted several stakeholders which included military and para-military chiefs, traditional rulers, dealers and journalists from across the country.

    Speaking at the colourful ceremony, Managing Director of PAN, Ibrahim Boyi said that with the launching of 301 CKD contract with PAN by Peugeot France, the company would be on course to employ  more people, train the skilled manpower the industry needs and flag-off the local component manufacturing.

    “You will recall that 1st July 2014, exactly three years today, we launched the local assembly of the 301 series from this plant, to key into the National Automotive Development Plan, which has been the tonic for our recovery and the successes we recorded recovering our customers and market share.

    “I am pleased to announce that in 2016, we grew our market share to  8% from 2%  the previous year. This is a testimony of the willingness and keenness of our customers to reconnect with the heritage and emotions of the brand. It is also a bold statement of Peugeots commitment to Nigeria, through thick and thin,” he emphasized.

    The MD described the 301 MIDLIFE as  one vehicle that every customer’s expectations can be met in terms of reliability, safety, performance, efficiency and ruggedness.
