Whistle has been blown on the plans of the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai to embark on mass sacking of workers in the state.
This was disclosed by aggrieved members of his party the All Progressives Congress (APC) at a press briefing in Kaduna on Monday.
Reeling out the alleged plans, Chairman of the APC Akida, Tom Maiyashi, explained that those that will be affected by the purge are a number of local government workers, teachers and other professionals.
“The people of Kaduna should be prepared for the worst is yet to come,” he said.
He added that the only thing the government knows how to do best, is telling lies and lies even at the risk of destroying government’s own image.
“The governor has so much energy fighting to destroy his own political party that brought him to power.
“We wish to make it abundantly clear to our elders, our workers, peasants, youth and community leaders that, we either as members of the ruling party, or as citizens and critical stakeholders irrespective of party affiliation do not support the anti people policies of governor Nasir el-Rufai and we will never do so.
“We put our communities and our elders on notice on this sensitive issue that the governor is actually aiming at pulling down the traditional institution in its entirety. Be warned.”
