The calendar of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) is choked up with activities that would further develop the game for the remaining part of 2016.
Newly sworn-in President of NVBF, Engineer Musa Nimrod disclosed this to Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kaduna Chapter who were there in solidarity for him as their patron, shortly after him and 28 other presidents were inaugurated at the National Stadium, Abuja at the weekend.
Nimrod, known for his aggressive way of developing sports, explained that there would be no resting time for him and his board members.
“Next plan of action, we have quite a lot to do. Just got back from U-23 Beach Volleyball World Cup, We also just got qualification for African championship to be hosted in Cairo, we are preparing to host Africa Zone 3 Championship in Lagos, and many others. We are choked up for the year,” he declared.
On how the federation would bankroll all the activities lined up, he said that they would mandate a committee that would be solely tasked with generating funds.
Also speaking to Kaduna SWAN, President of Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN), Frank Orbih said that immediately after emerging winner, he had started making plans for the improvement of the game.
“We are stepping up and setting up committees that will deliver our core plans and ensure our tenure is successful,” he added.
