The Ebrumede Police Divisional Headquarters Tuesday July 18, 2017, at about
11:30am arrested one Abraham Abuto for allegedly robbing a girl of an
I-Phone 7 valued at about N450,000 and a Nokia Phone of about N6,000
as two others escaped along Uti road in Uvwie Local Government Area of
Delta State,Authentic news daily report.
The suspect was arrested by police patrol team following an alarm
raised by the victim shortly after being robbed by a three gang.

A police source who craved anonymity claimed that the suspect and two
others in a tricycle with Reg. No. EFR032WX blocked one Miss Joy
Odofia and Queen Adams both of Major Brown Street in Sapele and robbed
her of the iPhone 7 with a Nokia phone.
The police stated that the victim quickly raised the alarm and the police immediately gave the robbers a hot chase which led to the arrest of Abraham Abuto, one of the suspects while two others escaped.
The police source noted that efforts have been intensified to arrest
the fleeing two others.
Contacted, the Ebrumede Divisional Police Officer, CSP Obrahim Shaibu
said,” am not in position to talk to press. Call the PPRO please.”
Contacted,the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Zanna Mohammed
Ibrahim in a text message confirmed the report.
According to the CP’s text mesaage: “Arrest of robbery suspect. Be informed that on 18/7/17 one Joy Udofia ‘F’ came to station while in company of one Queen Adams both of No 16 Bowen St. Sapele and reported that at 2145hrs of 18/7/17 they were trekking along Uti St. Effurun suddenly three men armed with cutlass blocked them with tricycle with Reg.No. EFR 032 WX and made away with their handbag containing Iphone 7 and Nokia phone. They raised alarm and police on patrol chased the hoodlums and arrested one Abraham Abato with the tricycle while the two others escaped with the phones and the matchet. But the handbag was recovered inside the tricycle.”
