A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Alh Muhammad Ibrahim Daura has advised the two APC senators in the state, Comrade Shehu Sani and Suleiman Hunkuyi to stop fighting the governor and instead engage him in meaningful dialogue, while advising them to repent and work with him. This was even as he disclosed that this open fighting is not in the interest of the state, assuring them that Governor Nasir El-Rufai has a forgiving heart and would accept them back. Speaking to newsmen in Kaduna, Daura explained that it was rather unfortunate that in the same party (APC) they are having this kind of opposition. ‘What I want to say concerning the crisis in our party is really unfortunate. That in the same (APC ) which is the ruling party in Kaduna, we are having an opposition . ‘He (el-Rufai) is the governor of the state elected under the party. I don’t see any reason why these people are fighting him. This is nonsense. ‘If they have any thing against the governor they should meet him instead of fighting him on the street. This open fighting is not in the interest of the state. “My advice to them especially the two Senators is to concentrate on the work they are being mandated to do and allow the governor to do his work. The APC chieftain also dispelled the insinuation that the governor does not listen to advice, saying, ‘there is no human being that doesn’t take advice and Mallam that I know listens to advice. According to him, el-Rufai has a forgiving heart. If they come back to him he would forgive them. Daura remarked that ‘it is time the two senators and their associates closed ranks with the governor and work towards the development of the state.
