Ogbako Ndi’ Anambra Warri, Effurun & Environs in Delta State on Sunday
August 20 disclosed that they have traced the masterminds of the
dastard and criminal acts which caused the deaths of several persons
at St. Phillip’s Catholic Church in Ozubulu Community in Anambra
State.
The Delta State Chairman of Ogbako Ndi’Anambra, Ichie Peter Ezejelue
made the disclosure at the 8th Anambra Cultural Day Celebration 2017
which held at the College of Education in Warri.

Ezejelue who was represented by the Special Adviser on Non-Indigene to
the Delta State Governor, Hon. Nze Francis Onuorah stated that soonest
the true identities of the masterminds would be made public.
,”Our people are on it. Offcourse, they have traced the source. They
are addressing it. In no distant time, you will hear from us.”
Onuorah expressed sadness over the incidence just as he attributed the
cause to agitation for amassing unnecessary wealth.
While noting that the incident could happen between anyone who is
overzealous in making money, Onuorah regretted the incident and
prayed that should not happen again.
Onuorah who also reacted to the threat issued by the leader of the
Independent People of Biafra,IPOB Nnamdi Kanu gave the assurance that
the Anambra people to vote in the forthcoming election in the state in
other not to invite anarchy to themselves.
Onuorah noted that the decision og the government must stand even
though IPOB has its own movement.
“The Anambra people for sure are going to vote.”
Onuorah said the threat handed down by the IPOB leader could be his
opinion pointing out however that,” the general opinion of Ndi’Anambra
is that, election will hold.”
Onuorah also commended and wished Anambrarians well saying,” We are
one united people. My wish to them is to continue the way they’re
doing. Living in brotherliness, living in love, doing everything
together and loving God.”
In address, the Governor of Anambra State,Dr. Willie Obiano directed
Civil Servants including teachers in the State to wear Igbo
traditional attire to work every Wednesday as well as speak Igbo
language in as a means of Communication so as to save same from
extinction.
Governor Obiano who was represented by the Honourable Commissioner for
Diaspora Affairs,Culture & Tourism,Barr.(Mrs.) Stella Onuorah noted
that thet language should be spoken in all public schools and offices
to preserve their cultural heritage.
Onuorah lamented that Igbo language is gradually going into extinction
just as she tasked the teachers and parents to speak and their
children same.
Onuorah also commended Anambrarians for showcasing their rich cultural heritage.
Delta State Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa who was represented by the
Peoples Democratic Party’s Chairman in Delta Central&South, Prince
Ambadugba was at the colourful event.
