Team Kaduna had a good outing on Tuesday as they qualified from all the heats for all the athletics events they participated in at the ongoing 3rd edition of the National Youth Games (NYG) at the University of Ilorin.
Umar Abdullahi qualified for finals of 400m finishing in 49.88secs as second position in the second heat.
In the first heat, Habib Suraj qualified for finals after finishing 50.98 secs in first position.
For the 400m ladies, Amaka Eze placed third to qualify for the final.
In the mixed relay, Kaduna qualified for finals from the heat
Commenting on the feat, Coach Felix Osiebe who came to Ilorin from Kaduna just to motivate the athletes praised them for a brilliant outing
“I am really impressed by their performance, it shows that Kaduna athletes are talented and are good to go for medals,” he added.
