Defending Champions Delta Sweep 60 Medals To Win 2017 National Youth Games

    Defending champions Team Delta have again emerged champions of the third  edition of the National Youth Games (NYG) after sweeping  21 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze medals at the University of Ilorin as it ended on Saturday.

    Second position went to yet another oil producing state, Akwa Ibom who hauled 16 gold, 15 silver and 15 bronze medals.

    Ondo another oil rich state, finished third with 12 gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze  medals.

    On the fourth spot, hosts Kwara hold sway with 10 gold medals, 10 silver and 9 bronze.

    Ogun garnered, seven gold, six silver and 14 bronze medals to place fifth, while Bayelsa finished sixth with seven gold, five silver and four bronze medals.

    Team  Benue claimed seven gold, four silver and five bronze medals to claim the seventh position, while El-Rufai Team Kaduna  placed 8th and first in the North West with six gold, four silver and eight bronze medals.

    Ninth position went to Team Osun with six gold, four silver and four bronze medals, while Team Niger completes the top ten with six gold, two silver and one bronze medals.
