Police Bursts Child Stealing Syndicate In Kafanchan, 4 Arrests Made, 14 Children Rescued

    The police authorities in Kaduna have confirmed the arrest of three suspects over the incident of child theft recorded in Kafanchan, Southern Kaduna recently.

    Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Aliyu Mukhtar confirmed this while fielding questions from AUTHENTIC News Daily in his office.
    He said that the arrest was made possible, following investigations into a missing child in Kafanchan.
    “While we were close to reaching the location of the missing child, the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (FSARS) was able to trace the child to a house in Abuja where the woman in charge claimed is an orphanage,” he said.
    The PPRO said that after the woman in question was apprehended, 14 children were rescued from the house.
    “Five of those rescued have already been reunited with their families and investigations led us to attesting three suspects in Kafanchan,” he said.
    ASP Mukhtar assured that investigation was ongoing and all those found wanting would be promptly prosecuted.
