If there is no last minute change of plans, the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), backed up by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and TUC has concluded plans to ground activities in Kaduna on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.
AUTHENTIC News Daily gathered from a reliable source on Monday, that the national leaders of NULGE were already in Kaduna, finalising plans for the show of muscle with the Kaduna State Government.
Though he did not tell our reporter the manner of action the union was planning to take, he was optimistic that activities in Kaduna would be grounded.
“I am not telling you this so that you publish it so it doesn’t frustrate the efforts, but this is just so that you are aware that something big will happen in Kaduna on Wednesday,” the source said.
He went further to hint that whatever will happen, may commence from the NULGE Secretariat.
It would be recalled that the NULGE recently issued a communique where it frowned at planned downsizing of workforce at the local government areas in Kaduna State.
It would also be recalled that two days ago, the Kaduna State Government issued a statement, reminding that the ban on protests and processions was still in place.
