Motorists plying Idon Community along Kaduna-Kachia Highway in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State have appealed to government at all levels to as a mater of urgency remove the sudden speed bumps constructed by some members of the community.
The motorists made the appeal while speaking to newsmen who were at the area following the growing rate of road crashes.

According to the motorists, the sudden speed bumps has caused a lot of road crashes within the shortest time that it was erected by the members of the community.
It was also gathered that due process was not followed while most of the speed bumps were set up very close to each other making it difficute for motorists to ply the road.
Some of the members of the community who spoke to newsmen said steps taken by the youth in the community to construct speed bumps was done as a result of increasing rates of hit and run motorists, resulting to large number of deaths.
He explained that there has not been any week that passes without losing their loved ones to hit and run vehicles, noting that until government does something, they will not remove the bumps.
Efforts to speak with the leader of the community proved abortive as he was one of those affected by the recent sack of traditional rulers by the Kaduna State Government.
Confirming the incident, the federal controller Kaduna State, Engr Sa,ad Tukur said he was aware of the development but was awaiting further directives.
He however, called on security agencies to do the needful in other to curtail further road crashes in Idon community.
