Their jerseys donated by Wadson Sports International stood out all through, alongside boots donated by MicroManna Computers, an attraction, spectators could not fail to appreciate.
They failed to square up to an impressive FRCN team, who are now being tipped to lift the trophy as they face another strong team, KSMC on Friday in the final.
KSMC had on Thursday whipped the Correspondent Chapel 4-0 as the star of the team, Tega Nwaiwu was caged by the former, who had experienced players like Shehu Abdullahi, popularly known as Skippo on their team.
Correspondent’s coach, Gbenga Abiola had to abandon coaching to play in the dying minutes of the game to salvage the team, but failed to make any impact.
In the third place match, Correspondents are bent on demolishing New Nigerian.
In an interview, Chairman of Correspondent Chapel, Mr. Midat Joseph said that they would go all out to win the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, the semi finals of the table tennis event continues on Friday at the NUJ Secretariat, where New Nigerian representative, Mohammad Ibrahim who has not list a game will be looking forward to booking a final spot.
