Campaign Coordinators of Senator Ubale Shitu among other All Progressives Congress (APC ) party faithful from Hadejia Emirate of Jigawa State stormed Government House to make their voices heard over the emerging political battle that has been rocking the party in the state.

Malam Rabiu Zakar Masama of Kirikasamma who spoke on behalf of the delegation after hours of a closed door meeting with the governor, said they came to see the governor and also to distance themselves from the statement of Senator Ubale Shitu who had  vowed to unseat Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar come 2019.

“We were the campaign coordinators of Senator Ubale Shitu in Auyo, Kaugama, Guri, Birniwa, Kafin-Hausa and Kirikasamma Local Government Area in 2015 election. we fought for him then, now we would fight against him come 2019.

“We came to Government House to show our support to Governor Badaru over Senator Ubale Shitu, because the Jigawa North-East Senatorial Zone is now witnessing tremendous developmental projects under Governor Badaru. We see no reason why some bad elements are trying to distract the attention of the Governor by causing unnecessary political unrest.”

Malam Zakar who described the battle as a fight between an elephant and a dog.

“The Dog must be made to understand the strength of  the elephant or stand the risk of crushing down,” he said.

It would be recalled that AUTHENTIC News Daily recently reported the beef between Senator Ubale Shitu and Governor Badaru, where Shitu vowed to unseat Governor Badaru after he said, he had discovered a plot to substitute him with an unpopular person from the senatorial zone.

The state party Chairman, Ado Sani Kiri has maintained that, APC is Intact in the state, only few individuals are pursuing their personal interest, stressing that the present administration  focused and moving forward to deliver all its campaign promises.
