Gov Badaru Flags Off 250 Bed Capacity Specialist Hospital Project

    Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has on Friday  inaugurated a 250-bed capacity specialist  hospital project and commissioned a school of nursing and midwifery at Hadejia, Jigawa State.

    The project, which will gulf over N1.5 billion, will be build in 18 Months and  is expected to be Commission in 2019, philko construction company won the bidding of the project.

    Governor Badaru, at the ceremony, said, the project is the first of it kind in the state, where Neighbouring state of Yobe, Bauchi and Niger republic will benefit the proximity of the Hospital.

    He further explained that, another specialist hospital is already in the pipeline in Kazaure, the contract for the fencing of the site was awarded and is expected to be completed before the end of 2017.

    He also said that, Jigawa is one of the few states in Nigeria that attained Abuja declaration in committing 15% of its annual budget to health sector.

    In a goodwill message, the Emir of Hadejia, Alh. Adamu Abubakar Maje Haruna, said thst he was short of words to express his happiness over the sitting of the project in his territory, adding that a project of this kind has been agitated for more than three decades only for it to be actualized by Governor Badaru.

    He further commended the administration of Badaru Abubakar for sitting the project in Hadejia even at a time of financial constraint and also commended a local cooperative organisation. ‘Hadejia Ina Mafita’ for their struggle in making the project a reality.
