A new Commissioner of Police has been deployed to Jigawa State Command.
He is Mr. Bala Zama Senchi who until his new appointment was DC Research, and Planning of the Police Force Headquaters, Abuja.

Also, he was the Deputy Commandant Police Staff College Jos before he was redeployed to Jigawa State as substantive Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Police Command.
Senchi replaced CP Rasheed Akintunde who was alevated to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Zone 5 Benin.
The new Commissioner, Bala Zama Senchi was hailed from Zuru, Kebbi State is a graduate of Usman Danfodio University Sokoto State.
He joined the Nigerian Police Force as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.
He had worked in various commands, departments, formations and units of the Nigeria Police Force.
At the early years of his service in the force, he served as Divisional Crime Officer, (DCO) in Marina Central Police Station, Sokoto, Admin Officer Operations, Officer in-charge of Special Task Force, Officer in-charge of Homicide, fraud, Narcotics at Police state CID Headquaters Sokoto, among others.
Before his elevation, Senchi was Deputy Commissioner Administration Katsina State Police Command among other positions he has held.
The new CP solicits for the support and co-operation of Jigawa State people for a better policing across the state.
