Bishop David Abioye of the Living Faith Church Goshen City has described the spate of killings by Fulani herdsmen as an underground move to eradicate Christianity in Nigeria, calling on Christians to wake up from their slumber and change their focus now for the future.
Bishop Abioye, who made this known on Sunday in a breakthrough service of the 21 days prayer and fasting programme of the church at Goshen, Auta Balefi in Karu LG of Nasarawa State, lamented the nonchalant attitude of the Federal Government towards providing a permanent solution to the recurring senseless destruction of lives and property of the innocent citizens.
“The constant killing of people by Fulani herdsmen is to eradicate the Church and the government keeps claiming they don’t know anything about it. They neither condemn nor look for the perpetrators. Let us therefore remove the cloth of the masquerade and see who the masquerade is.

“We have Customs, Immigration, Police and other security agencies yet they don’t know where they came from, how they came and where they went to? If the Customs is genuine let them tell us how AK47 found its way into this country and how they escaped; enough of deception!” Abioye said.
The clergyman called on Christians to be sensitive and posses a political mind and never to dine with anyone that will kill them, urging those at helm of affairs to be bold enough to confront unjust policies against the populace.
Bishop Abioye, who is the first Vice President of the Living Faith Church World Wide also known as Winners Chapel International, handed down bluntly that no one can stop the Church in Nigeria, stressing that the church of Christ is on the march and there is no stop to it.
“The church of Jesus is marching on, no one can stop the church in Nigeria; our communities must be safe, our country must be safe. Let us all stand up from the Middle Belt, West, East and all over the country, never sit arms folded and watching things go wrong everyday.
“I don’t know when cattle have become more important than human beings. If you don’t farm how will you eat? The Church of Jesus is saying NO!” The Orator of God added.
The Bishop also cautioned against imposition of any form of chiefs on any tribal group by anybody outside the indigenous system.
It would be recalled that the government of Muhammadu Buhari has been under attack following the recent massacre in Benue State by Fulani herdsmen.
