Former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark has described the demise of the Catholic Bishop of Kafanchan in Kaduna State Most Rev. Joseph Bagobiri as a big blow to the society.
He expressed this in a statement signed by his Media Assistant, Paul Mumeh.
Reacting to the death of the Bishop, Senator Mark said the death of Bagobiri was a spiritual set back to the people, especially Southern Kaduna.
He described Bagobiri as a diligent servant of God who worked tirelessly for the growth of the Church and salvation of the citizenry.
According to Senator Mark, “Bishop Bagobiri was a devoted servant of God who demonstrated uncommon zeal and commitment in the Lord’s vineyard.
“Till his last days on earth, he never rested on his paddles to help the less privilege. He kept moving the Church and the people forward.
“Bagobiri believed in a crime-free society where every citizen is allowed to worship and pursue his or her legitimate ambition in any part of the country.
Mark urged the people of Kaduna and Nigerians to take solace in the fact that the Bishop lived a good life while on earth.
He therefore prayed that God in His infinite mercies grant Bagobiri eternal rest.
