Niger State Governor, Alh. Abubakar Sani Bello has approved fund and also donated a Coaster Bus to the state darling team, Niger Tornadoes Fc.
The Chairman of the club, Alh. Abubakar Mustapha Gawu made this disclosure while addressing players of the club after the team’s training.
He said lack of fund was the biggest challenge facing the club, and that this kind gesture by the Governor will go a long way to boost the morale of the players, which will in turn enhance the performance of the club in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Chairman appreciated the players for being patient with the management, promising them that as soon as the fund is release all their outstanding entitlements will be settled without any delay.
He also charge the players and the technical crew to double their efforts to ensure that the Governor’s gesture was reciprocated by moving the team to an appreciable position in the league table before the end of the first stanza.
While appreciating the Governor’s gesture, Alh. Mustapha Gawu also assured him that the funds will be judiciously utilize, and also promised that the club will not disappoint its stakeholders.
He also appreciated the support the club have been enjoying from Fans and Supporters club, as well as all soccer loving Nigerlites, and urged them to continue in that spirit.
Niger Tornadoes is currently occupying the 10th position on the league table, and will be playing as guest to Kano Pillars Fc tomorrow, at the Sani Abacha stadium, Kano.
