Fourth place went to Muhammed (M.S.) Ustaz with 13 votes, while Musa Zamzam trailed behind at the fifth spot with no votes recorded against his name.
AUTHENTIC News Daily reports that earlier while the voting was in progress, Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai stormed the venue amidst cheers from the APC supporters who thronged the Kaduna South Local Government Secretariat venue of the primary election.
Before his arrival, political office holders were spotted at the venue of the polls, with the State House of Assembly members and NASS members from the LGA also seen.
Delegates from the thirteen wards which make up the LGA took turns to each file in to cast their votes.
After he was announced winner, Jarimi in an interview with newsmen, was optimistic that he would beat opponents from other parties at the council polls.
“I believe this is the hardest hurdle, because all the candidates were equally good. It was a tough one but thank God I emerged victorious,” he said.
