Hard fighting Kano State Male Volleyball team fell 2-3 to their Kaduna State counterparts in day 2 action of the ongoing North West Volleyball League, on Sunday.
In another game played Sunday morning, Katsina who were devoured by hosts in the opening match on Saturday, played better, but were still overpowered by the hosts as the game ended 1-3.
In an interview with newsmen at the Katsina Club venue of the league, Katsina State Volleyball Association Chairman, Yusuf Bello assured all teams of fair play.
He explained that just like every participating state, they are hoping to win, but not hosting to win.
“We want to win just like everybody here but we will provide level playing ground for all teams.
“We will make everybody comfortable and ensure that our hospitality makes all visiting states feel at home,” he said.
On how the league is faring so far, he described it as “so far, so good.”
Bello praised the Katsina State Government led by Aminu Bello Masari for promptly approving funds for the success of the league.
