2019: I Will Dislodge Gov Badaru, Install A Humanitarian Govt, Lamido’s Aide Boasts

A former special assistant on inter governmental affairs to Sule Lamido, Shehu Liman has said, he is fully prepared to dislodge Governor Badaru’s anti peoples policies if elected the next governor in 2019 and install a humanitarian government that can work for the common man.
Mr liman stated this on Tuesday in a press briefing at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Dutse.
He said if given the chance to be elected as Governor, he will run a humanitarian government that puts people first, not   Badaru’s-led administration that targets profit from the common man.
He explained that  Governor Badaru has truncated the developmental initiative installed by Sule Lamido in the state.
“PDP in Jigawa can’t be compared with APC judging from my recent political rally in the state, ” The Political rally recently conducted by both  the ruling All Progressives Congress and that of PDP already signals the return of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state,” he said.
Mr. Liman stressed that in 2019 nothing will stop PDP from reclaiming its glory in Jigawa.
“Power  of incumbency can’t work because Nigerians have demonstrated that right in 2015 where PDP was voted out despite incumbency power,” he pointed out.
Liman who  once  represented Kaugama Local Government area at the state in the legislative chamber promised that if elected as governor, he will utilize his experience as a former chairman House committee on Land, Housing and urban development to reclaim all lands confiscated from the common man by Badaru’s administration.
“My intention  if elected Governor in the state is to continue with the developmental strides of former Governor Sule Lamido that is now retrogressive in the state three years after he left power,” he assured.
He said, his intention to declare for governorship amidst other candidates is a clear indication that PDP has internal democracy that allows party delegates to be selected.
Mr. Liman’s declaration came as a surprise going by the fact PDP in the state is shuffling for a neutral person that may face the ruling APC in the state.

So far in PDP, only Shehu Liman has declared his intention to run for governorship in the state.

The former gubernatorial candidate in 2015, Aminu Ringim is also nursing ambitions to contest again in 2019.
