There’s serious tension in Delta State as critical Stakeholders in Ekpan Community in agreement with the Delta State Commissioner of Police,CP Muhammad Mustafa on Tuesday mobilized heavily armed policemen in search of hoodlums troubling the Community.
This is coming as unknown gunmen this morning allegedly shot dead an unidentified young man and deposited his remains at the street of Chief Mewton Agbogodo,the former Unuevworo who was recently sentenced to death by hanging by a Delta Court.

For the past two few weeks,there has been sporadic shootings day and night with many sustaining serious injuries in Ekpan Community.
AUTHENTIC News Daily reports that the Police men stormed the Community with two Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) parked at the Ekpan Police Station in case of any reprisals from the hoodlums.
At the time of filing this report, many suspected criminals who have been on the wanted list of the police have fled the town as Policemen comb the area.
The movement of persons are being restricted in some areas while traders at the Ekpan Community market have closed their shops for fear of not being manhandled by the fierce looking policemen.
The Chairman of Ekpan Community Development Committee, Barr. Innocent Onyekachukwu Oritsetimeyin Akpotedja-Adjenughure confirmed the report in a chat with Our Warri Correspondent.
Adjenughure who was recently ordained as clergyman by Pastor Ayodele Joseph Oritaejafor stated that the Stakeholders in Ekpan handed over the names of the hoodlums troubling the Community to the Police.
He noted that it was the CP’s mandate that the Policemen should fish out all the names in the wanted list.
According to him,”Many of them have been on the Police wanted list”.
“I mobilized them to the town to chase out bad boys shooting in the Community.
“The Community in agreement with the Commissioner of Police, Stakeholders and even Chief Otovmievwo was there.
Adjenughure stated that the Commissioner of Police mandated the Policemen to fish out all the names
Adjenughure who claimed he was informed about the death of the unidentified young man said,”I don’t even know him but I have incidented the matter at the Ekpan Police Station.
Adjenughure also disclosed how an Aide to the Delta State Governor was arrested and granted bail.
He further hinted that a serving official of a local government council whose name is also on the list has not turned up to the police.
Adjenughure vowed that his administration will rid Ekpan Community of every crime criminalities.
“In this my Administration,I want to cleanup the system as long as it is legal and lawful,I will do it. This is the starting Process.”
Contacted,the Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer,DSP Andrew Aniamaka said he has no details of the development.
