The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna State, has commiserated with the people of Birnin Gwari over the killings of 40 people by armed bandits.

In a statement signed by its Kaduna State Publicity Secretary, Abraham Alberah Catoh, made available in Sunday April 29, the party said that the ruling All Progressives Congress has failed.

“We pray God for the repose of their souls and also condole with the bereaved families.

“We sympathise with the families and the good people of Birnin Gwari over these avoidable deaths”.

The PDP also called on the State Government to intensify the security of lives and properties of its citizens in the State, so as to protect the people from wanton destruction of lives and properties by hoodlums.

“The avoidable killings of our citizens across the State and the Country at large has become a reoccurring decimal”

“Where there are no jobs for our hardworking youths and assurances of food security for the citizens, crime rate becomes a norm.

“The APC Government has failed to fulfill its campaign promises of providing 4 million jobs per annum for our teeming hardworking youths and providing quality education, good healthcare delivery services, reduction of pump prices of Petroleum products and provision of fertilizers and farming implements to our Farmers at affordable prices, which has a multiplier effect on our economy.

“The APC has made Nigerians impoverished in just three years of its maladministration with no hope insight.

“These and many more are the reasons for the rising crime rate across the country,” PDP said.
