Kaduna LG Polls: Boot APC Out, Makarfi, Hyet Urge Kaduna Residents



    Former governor of Kaduna State and the immediate past chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Sen Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi has called on the people of Kaduna State to vote against the APC in the next Saturday Local government elections.


    Speaking when the PDP received over 5,562 members of the APC into their party in Zonkwa on Monday, Makarfi said the people of Kaduna should not repeat the mistake of the past adding that APC should be booted out.


    The event which also witnessed the distribution of flags to the PDP candidates in the 23 LGC of Kaduna state, had the National Secretary of the PDP, Sen Umaru Ibrahim Tsauri as chairman of the occasion, Northwest Zonal chairman, Amb Ibrahim Kazaure and several other prominent members of the party including members in the House of Representatives.


    Speaking, the chairman of the PDP in Kaduna State, Dr. Hassan Felix Hyet, said within one year of the PDP regime in 1999, roads, hospitals, and other social amenities were build in Southern Kaduna, but that a party came to power in 2015 and has always been promising in the last 3 years.


    While reacting to the curses Kaduna state governor, Malam Nasir Ahmed el-Rufai rain on the Senators, Hyet said God will always bless the Lawmakers for standing in the side of truth.


    “The three Senators from Kaduna state are bless. Any man that cursed our Senators, Holy Ghost, Fire,” Hyet said.


    He said the senators stood against tyranny adding that in 2019, the PDP will not only pursue hunger, but that the party will pursue insecurity.


    “We will not curse anyone. But we are asking God to forgive people that have been cursing others. PDP will not allow any chairman that is not elected to be sworn in.


    .”While advising the people of Kaduna state to vote against the APC, Hyet said: “Don’t allow rigging to take place, Kaduna is PDP and we must ensure we win all the seats on Saturday and the 2019 general elections. PDP will win in other to save the state from insecurity and hunger.”
