The Director of Grassroots Sports Development at the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Dr. Ademola Are has expressed satisfaction with the level of preparation of athletes in camp ahead of the Africa Youth Games.

He expressed this in Kaduna on Saturday while fielding questions from our AUTHENTIC News Daily after visiting athletes camping at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium.
“We have athletes in five camps in the country and I am happy to inform that they are in high spirits, ” he said.
Dr. Are said that he was particularly impressed that the athletes are maintaining a high level of discipline under their various coaches.
He was optimistic that they would make Nigeria proud at the Africa Youth Games.
The African Youth Games targets the 14 to 18 age group, and is thought to contribute to the development of African sport and to the growth of Olympic values, as well as act as a trial run for the Olympic Games.
The Africa Youth Games is billed to hold between July 7 to 17 in Algiers, the Algerian capital.
