Hours of downpour on Wednesday, crippled activities in Kaduna metropolis.
The heavy rainfall that was witnessed across the four metropolitan local government areas of the state capital, kept workers and business men indoors.
As at the time of filing this report around 10:45am, the central business district in the metropolis had about 90 per cent of its shops and offices open.
Even the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council was still under locks as at 11am.
Commercial motor cyclists and public transport operators took advantage of the condition to hike transport fares.
The rain which began a little after midnight has not stopped as at time of filing this report, it was still drizzling, a development that might affect economic activities on Wednesday.
Farmers are however, delighted about the development. Those who spoke to our correspondent, blessed God for the showers of blessings.
