Kaduna’s female team at the ongoing Savannah Conference Volleyball League has won two consecutive matches  back-to-back.

After  winning the last match played on Day four  against Zamfara  by three straight  sets,  they went out smoking hot against Wikki of Bauchi  on Thursday,  beating  them 3-1, coming  from  behind.

The first set  ended 16-25, second 25-21, while the third and  fourth  sets  ended  25-12 and 25-17 respectively.

In other  female  matches played,  the Food  Basket Girls  from  Benue failed to  overcome the superior  firing  power  of the Nigeria  Immigration  Service (NIS),  in spite  of drawing the  first  blood  by winning  first  set 25-23.

The second  set went  to NIS 25-23, while  Benue  picked  the third 25-23.

Subsequent  sets  were won  by NIS 25-18 and 15-4.

High  flying  Nigeria  Security and Civil Defence Corps  (NSCDC) wasted no time  in trouncing  Wikki  Girls  3-0 (25-6, 25-11, 25-10).

In the last  female  match of the day,  Plateau failed to turn up,  giving  their  opponents Spartans of Adam’s a smooth  0-3 advantage.

In the male match that  was concluded  as at time of filing this report,  the boys from  the Power  State Niger, failed  to overpower  the NIS male  team as they fell 0-3.

The first two sets ended 17-25 respectively  and the third set witnessed  a point  improvement  from Niger  and ended 18-25.
