UPU Inaugurates Youth Wing Excos, Says Urhobos Not Divided

    The National Youth Wing President of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Comrade Louis A. Emuobonuvie, has broken the silence that there is no division in the leadership of the UPU under the leadership of Chief Joe Omene but there is need to add innovations to the way of doing things so that the union can move forward.

    He made this assertion recently in Mosoga, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State during the inauguration of the UPU Youth wing National Executives from all kingdoms in Urhobo land.

    Emuobonuvie said that , UPU is united, focused and determined to protect the common interests of the Urhobo people, adding that his administration is to create an environment where any Urhobo youth will see themselves as one and contribute their quota to the growth and development of the Urhobo Nation.

    His words: “First thing my committee will do is to bring all Urhobo youths together and work in synergy so that when we talk, we speak with one voice and by so doing, we cannot be shortchanged from the scheme of affairs in this country “.

    The UPU Youth Wing Leader, while answering questions from newsmen, said that by this inauguration, the Urhobo youths shall resist any practice of nepotism, and tribalism.

    The inauguration ceremony was well attended by Urhobo sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora including, the UPU President General, Chief Joe Omenemene, the Youth Wing Secretary, Comrade Kelly Efumuna Umukoro and Comrade Godstime  Ukuanovwe, Director of Publicity among others.
