The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna State chapter, Honourable Felix Hassan Hyet has described the siege on the National Assembly by the Department of State Security (DSS) on Tuesday as a threat to democracy.
He expressed this on Tuesday, when hosting former Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) who was there to declare intention to contest Kaduna State Governorship in 2019 at the party’s state secretariat.

“I want to call on the attention of all Nigerians to the impunity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government.
“We say no to what is going on in the National Assembly. We say no to the harrassment of lawmakers,” he said.
Hyet wondered why the executive which is one arm of government would be intimidating the legislature which is an independent arm of government.
“Why is APC afraid of those decamping. If they are aggrieved about the decamping, they should go to court,” he said.
Speaking further, he said that in Kaduna, a lot has gone wrong from education to other sectors.
“We can say without fear of contradiction that everything in Kaduna has collapsed.
“I declare Kaduna State as one in a state of emergency and only PDP can change that,” he said
The chairman emphasized that the PDP must come back to make people go to sleep with two eyes closed.
