    Property destroyed by early morning fire in Delta State

    Two children are feared dead with property worth millions of Naira destroyed in an early morning fire incident which occurred near the residence of the former Igbudu Youth President, Mr Ovuakporaye at Digbori Street near Hausa Quarters in Igbudu Market, Warri, Delta State, AUTHENTIC News Daily can report.
    Amongst the victims  who lost their lives is a year and six months old baby Wealth Enorke and the other, a four year old boy, Kesiena Lucky.
    The deceased were children of two sisters, Elohor Lucky and Ufuoma when the fire incident which started at about 2am on Monday August 27 started.
    It was learnt that the cause of the fire was as a result of candle light by the grandmother of the deceased , a kerosene dealer.
    An eyewitness who spoke with Our Correspondent said, the grandmother may have bought adultrated kerosene products which caught up with the flames of the candle light that was left at night.
    The eyewitness said,”The fire burnt enveloped the whole building resulting in the death of the two children who amongst four others sleeping at night.
    “The grandmother was able to rescue four of the children before she raised the alarm. But before then, the fire had spread to other parts of the compound.”
    The fire raged because the presence of the fire fighters were nowhere at the time.
    It was also learnt that the Ufuoma, mother of one of the deceased was not at home when ugly incident occurred.
    In a chat with the AUTHENTIC NEWS DAILY, the Chairman of Igbudu Community,Oyiboaga Pius Ogheneovo alleged that Wealth’s mother, Ufuoma intentionally set the compound on fire just to deprive his father, Harrison Enorke of taking custody of him.
    Ogheneovo said, Wealth’s father,Harrison Enorke wanted custody of the child but his mother,Ufuoma has refused him of doing that these while.
    “From all what the boy is saying, I understand that the girl is involved in the death of the young man. She intentionally framed the fire for that young man to get burnt to death because she don’t want to release that child to the young man (father).
    ” The same way the young man is in pain, an also aggrieved for the soul of that young man. It’s just like the young man is part of us. It’s not an injury to me alone, it’s an injury to this community.
    Ogheneovo passionately appealed to the media and the relevant security agencies to investigate the matter thoroughly with a view to ascertaining the true position on the matter.
    Ogheneovo who enjoined residents of the area to be very careful when using candle lights said it is not ideal to use same at very odd hours such as the time the ugly incident occurred.
    He however disagreed that the fire incident may have been caused by the candle light saying,”But am not seeing it that it’s a candle light. I am suspecting that, they turn fuel around that house and they light fire in that house.
    “If you are saying it’s candle, it is out of it. Am suspecting something very different.
    Narrating how the incident happened, Elohor Lucky, mother to the four year old deceased boy said she left their apartment at exactly 1am to one Mama Sola’s apartment after she handed her mobile phone to her mother.
    Lucky who spoke in pidgin English said she left there to Tuwere place and it is from there a neighborhour informed her of the development at about 2am.
    In her words, ” Before I run reach there, everything done burn reach ground.”
    The mother of the deceased one year six months old baby, Ufuoma who rushed to the police station to incident the matter has just been arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force “A” Division in Warri.
    At the time of filing this report,the police have evacuated the remains of the deceased children leaving the wreckage for sympathizers to have a glimpse.
