Former Shell Staff Declares As YDP Presidential Aspirant, Says Nigerians Are Suffering

    A former Staff of the Shell Petroleum Development Company,SPDC, Amb. Ogheneoro Emiaso on Saturday officially  flagged-Off as the Presidential Aspirant of the Young Democratic Party (YDP).
    Amb. Emiaso declared his intentions to contest the forthcoming Presidential Elections in Warri.
    Amb. Emiaso who is also cleric with Gospel Church of Christ said Nigetians are suffering in a rich Country such as Nigeria in the midst of plenty despite being blessed with so much mineral resources.
    “We don’t have roads, we don’t have power. We don’t have things working as it should be.
    ” We see other countries, even small countries and see how things are working with minieal resources  they have. We have so much. Yet, we can’t feel the impact.”
    Amb. Emiaso who is agriculturist also decried the level of unemployment amongst Nigerian youths.
    The Uzere Community in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State promised to empower the young people especially through gainful employments
    Amb. Emiaso who is also cleric with Gospel Church of Christ said he will not disclose the workability of his plans for the youths.
    “The workability, i will withhold for now so my opponents don’t steal them and say it is their idea.”
    He also added that young people in the country will enjoy free education from primary to University levels.
    According to him,”We have the resources. We don’t need to suffer to go to school and when we have the knowledge, we will be able.to have a formidable force as a nation” amongst others.
    Amb. Emiaso also vowed to empower the women whom he christened as industrious.
    “I know what to do to put them in place so they can be drivers of the economy of this Country. They’re productive people and they need empowerment.
    ” The widows, those that are vulnerable, we need to integrate them, care for them.
    “Even those who are mad on the streets, we need to bring them together as a family and take care of them. These are done in developed Countries.
    “We can do same. Use our resources, they shouldn’t be walking naked all over the place.
    “We can put them in good places and take care of them. We have a responsibility to care for our people on the roads so they don’t die untimely deaths.”
    Amb. Emiaso said he will attends to the plights of pensioners and ensured their entitlements are paid as at when due.
    Amb. Emiaso added that his administration will ensure food security stressing that,”I know what to do.”
    While promising to respect and secure the Citizenries of this Country, Amb. Emiaso said molestations by Security Agencies and their personnel on the people will not not be tolerated saying,”We have equal rights.”
    Amb. Emiaso assured that, he will not disappoint Nigerians pointing that he is very credible with money.
    YDP Secretary in Delta State, Comrade Udi Benjamin said the party wants to put an end to the recycling of old leaders in the country.
    Benjamin applauded Amb. Emiaso saying his programmes are in line with the party’s aims and objectives.
    Mrs. Eguono Emiaso corroborated her husband’s claims stressing that,”So many people are hungry. There’s no food. You have so many people suffering in this country.
    Mrs. Emiaso who threw her weight behind her Hubby’s political ambition stressed the need for the women to be empowered with a view for them to contribute and support their immediate families as well as people around them.
    “There’s need for Government to sort this people out. People shouldn’t be begging for food. People should not be looking for where there is the next place they’re doing party and they go there.”
    An indigene of Uzere Community, Chief Silas Efajemue said the Oil Community is in full support of the Cleric’s ambition.
    Chief Efajemue expressed the belief that the 12% on gas flaring which has been taking a way from them in Isoko and Delta State as  whole by the Federal Government will be paid to them if Amb. Emiaso emerges as President of the country.
    He said,”With Amb. Emiaso on the lead, Delta will be transformed. We are suffering when we own over 70% of the revenue of this country.
    “So, we are strongly behind him. We the underground youths will vote for him and ensure he becomes President of this Country.”
    A.member of Gospel Church of Christ, Mrs. Anthonia Djakpa and a member of YDP, Emma Odjegba also supported Amb. Emiaso’s political moves.
