Nigerian Pilot Reporter Elected Kaduna NUJ Correspondents Chapel Secretary

    The Northwest Bureau Chief of Nigeria Pilot Newspapers in Kaduna has been elected as Secretary of the Correspondent Chapel of Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, kaduna State council.

    The Bureau Chief, Mr. Gabriel Ude Idibia, who was returned unopposed on the 21st September, was sworn-in on Monday at the chapel office by the credentials committee.
    During the Inauguration, the State Council Chairman, Adamu Yusuf, represented by Financial Secretary, John Femi Adi commended the chapel for ensuring that due process was followed.
    He said correspondent chapel is known as the heartbeat of the NUJ, and expressed the hope that it will come alive after the election of the secretary, the administrative head of the arm of J
    journalists representing media organizations with headquarters outside Kaduna State.
    Earlier, the credentials committee chairman, Isaiah Benjamin of Leadership Newspapers commended members for the support accorded the committee to deliver on the election.
    Also speaking, the chapel Chairman Midat Joseph sincerely appreciated members for their cooperation and support given the credentials committee for the peaceful conduct of the election.
    It would be recalled that the chapel election was conducted late last year without the secretary position.
    Veteran journalists including Tajudeen Ajibade, John Fwah, NAN editor among other senior journalists attended the ceremony.
