Georgian Cup: Smoking Hot El-Amin Start Centenary Polo With Big Win

    The El-Amin Polo Team took off to a brilliant start on Tuesday as they trounced opponent’s, Imani  12-7 in a Georgian Cup match at the ongoing Kaduna Polo Club Centenary Tournament
    The first Chukka  witnessed three goals with all from El-Amin, ending the Chukka 3-0.
    Imani failed to pick up their rhythm in the  second Chukka, as El-Amin added two to increase the tally to 5-1 as that Chukka ended.
    The third Chukka witnessed a goals drought as only one came from Imani, ending it 5-2.
    Imani however, came back with vigour in the fourth Chukka as they scored three goals, leaving El-Amin with only one goal advantage as it ended 5-4.
    El-Amin came smoking hot in the fifth Chukka, scoring a total of four goals and ending that Chukka with four goals ahead at 9-5.
    In the  Sixth Chukka, El-Amin scored three, while Imani added two, to end the highly explosive encounter by 12-7.
    The Georgian Cup which is Africa’s most prestigious polo trophy is witnessing its 99th edition this year.
    It has been sponsored by First Bank since inception, making it the longest corporate sponsorship of a trophy in the world.
    Meanwhile, a Kaduna Centenary Polo Concert featuring Runtown and several other artistes and comedians billed to feature, will be staged  on Friday the 19th of October.
