Group Apprehends Notorious Drug Dealer In Warri

    In its bid to help save the future of youths, a group under the auspices of Ijaw Itsekiri Urhobo Youth (IIU) has arrested a suspected drug peddler,Abubakar Audu as one other escaped at Hausa Quarters in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, AUTHENTIC News Daily can report.
    The group also recovered two brief cases containing codeine, tramadol and other hard drugs with tables from the suspects.
    The group whose aims and objectives are against drugs and Cultism and other social vices arrested the suspects during its routine raid on hideouts where unapproved drugs are sold and consumed.
    The group also arrested a suspected cultist, Kadiri Maliki in the area.
    The duo it was learnt have been handed over to the “A” Division Police Station in Warri for investigation and possible prosecution by the group.
    In a chat with AUTHENTIC News Daily, the group led by Gen Lucky Pessu, Cyril Eboh and Amb. Pius Ogheneovo Oyiboaga, President, Secretary and Spokesman respectively, vowed to destroy every spots where drugs are abused with youths being initiation into cults.
    Spokesman of the group, Amb. Pius Ogheneovo Oyiboaga said the intake of hard illicit drugs have damaged the future of so many youths in the area.
    Oyiboaga urged parents to call their children to order saying,”it is no longer business as usual.”
    According to Oyibocha,”Help this group to build a new Warri, a new future for our children” he begged.
    A Police source who craved anonymity said the suspected drug peddler allegedly admitted to the crime insisting that,”only of one the brief case containing the illicit hard drugs belongs to him while the other one is for the fleeing suspect.”
    The Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Andrew Aniamaka confirmed the report in a telephone chat with Our Correspondent.
    DSP Aniamaka said,”Yes, your information is right. They were arrested by the Community with condeine and a few other substance. Off course, we need the legal position and the right thing will be done.”
    DSP Aniamaka noted that the suspects are cooperating with the Police.
