Okowa May Lose Delta Community’s Vote Over Abandoned 2.193km Road

    As the 2019 election draws near, the people of Ogidigben Community in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State may not cast their votes for Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa-led Delta State Government due to an abandoned the 2.193km Obitobon-Elolo-Ajakrougbo-Urubo reinforced concrete road, AUTHENTIC News Daily reports.
    A visit to the community revealed that the people are not enjoying the dividends of democracy because they’ve been cut off from the rest of the state.
    The road was awarded in April 2017 ro Metsan Services Limited is the Contracting firm before it was abandoned for reasons not clear.
    The road is now a death trap to the people of the Community whose social economic lives have been crippled.
    AUTHENTIC News Daily learnt that the people of the community going through this pains in spite of their support with votes cast in favour of the present governor during and after the 2015 electron.
    “The essence of this report is to draw the attention of Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa to the plight of the people of Ogidigben Community and urgently complete the road project for the people.
    “But if he does not complete the abandoned road, he may loose the votes of the people,” many of who craved anonymity for now, said.
