Crime: Kaduna Police Command Records Breakthrough, Parades 22 Suspected Criminals

    The Nigeria Police Force, Kaduna State Command, has made public its breakthrough in fighting of crime while parading 22 suspected criminals.
    Commissioner of Police Kaduna State, CP Ahmad Abdurrahman expressed this while briefing newsmen on Wednesday.
    “I wish to welcome you all to this press briefing. I feel delighted to intimate you of the command’s recent breakthrough in combating crime and criminality in Kaduna state. You recall, two weeks ago I invited you here to brief you about the positive results of our robust commitment to get Kaduna rid of criminals, during which I paraded numerous suspected criminals for various offences. All those paraded have been charged to various courts of competent jurisdictions.
    “Today, I want to inform you that our continued fight against crime has again led to the arrest of Seven (7) suspects in connection to Criminal Conspiracy and Armed Robbery, Four (4) suspects for Criminal Conspiracy and Kidnapping, Two (2) suspects for Criminal Conspiracy, Impersonation and Cheating Five (5) suspects for Criminal Conspiracy, Theft and Receiving Stolen Property, One (1) suspect for Criminal Intimidation by anonymous Communication and Three (3) more suspects for Criminal Conspiracy, Burglary and Theft.
    “The names of the suspects are stated below in accordance with the offences they are alleged to have committed.
    Suspected Armed Robbers Ken Obi ‘m’ 28yrs old, Samson Okafor ‘m’ 27 yrs old, Chidi Mathew ‘m’ 29yrs old, Ezekiel Jonathan ‘m’  18yrs old,
    James Dogara ‘m’ 20yrs old, Solomon Joshua ‘m’ 32yrs old and Sunday John ‘m’ 37yrs old.
    “Suspected Kidnappers Abubakar Iliyasu ‘m’ 37yrs old, Ibrahim Mobo Adamu ‘m’ 30yrs old, Usman Barde ‘m’ 18 yrs old and Bello Abubakar ‘m’ 38 yrs.
    Suspects for C/C, Burglary & Theft Basher Abdullahi ‘m’ 21yrs old, Ibrahim ‘m’ 20yrs old and Kabiru Abubakar ‘m’ 28yrs old.
    “Suspects for Criminal Conspiracy, Theft & Receiving Stolen Property Babangida Mohammed ‘m’ 23yrs old, Abdullahi Abdullahi ‘m’ 20yrs, Mubarak Aliyu ‘m’ 20yrs old
    Usman Mohammed ‘m’ 21yrs old and Nura Sani ‘m’ 19yrs old.
    “Suspects for Criminal Conspiracy, Impersonation and Cheating Dauda shayibu ‘m’ yrs old and Seth Isa ‘m’ yrs old.
     “Suspect for Criminal Intimidation by Anonymous Communication Bello Yahaya ‘m’ 32yrs old.
    He said that the recoveries made include two locally made Revolver Barrel Pistols,
    one locally made pistol, 39mm live ammunition, 14 Sets of Plasma Television
    one laptop computer, three phones ( 1 Nokia, 1 Samsung and 1 Vivo Android), one Tricycle (Keke Napep) motor vehicle and one cutlass and assorted charms.
    Kaduna CP said that the suspects are currently undergoing investigation under their custody and will be prosecuted on completion of police investigation.
     He reassured members of the public that, the Command will continue to fight vigorously against all forms of crime and criminality in Kaduna State while enjoining for the public’s kind support and understanding by way of giving the Police prompt and relevant information that can help in exposing unscrupulous elements in their midst.
    “I also want to enjoin all political stakeholders to play the game by the rule and to desist from doing anything that will hamper the peace we have been enjoying recently. The Kaduna State Police Command will not hesitate to deal decisively with any person or group that directly or indirectly does any act that can bring about disharmony in the state or any part thereof,” he warned.
    He equally appealed to the people of Kaduna State to continue to live in peace with one another and to avoid using Social Media Platforms in spreading Fake News or Hate Speech capable of inciting public disturbance or causing injuries to persons.
    “Finally, I want to specially thank members of the press for your tireless efforts in creating public awareness especially on Security Early Warning Signs and for being a window through which our successes are exposed to the good members of the public. Thank you all and God bless you more,” he said.
