Sultan Enjoins Muslims To Unite, As NASFAT Commissions Ultra Modern Mosque In Kaduna

    The President general of the Nigerian National Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, His Eminence, Sultan Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar lll, has enjoined Muslims to uphold the tenets of Islam at all times.

    The Sultan who was ably represented by the Emir of Birnin Gwari, Zubairu Jubril mai Gwari ll made the call while commissioning the ultra modern mosque of the Nasrul Lahi-L-Fatih Society, (NASFAT) in Kaduna on Sunday.

    He encouraged that Muslims should always have the fear of God in their endeavours, saying that they must be united and be committed to keeping the flag of Islam flying.

    The Sultan noted that Muslims are weak, especially in the area of helping one another, adding that Islam was built on unity and promoting peace and unity should be the watchword of every Muslims.

    While speaking, he lauded the initiative of NASFAT for building an ultra modern and multipurpose mosque that will not only be used for prayers but,  also to serve other purposes that will be of benefit to humanity.

    In his remarks, the Chief Missioner, NASFAT worldwide, Engr. Mahroof Abdulhazeez Onike said the association is known for promoting unity amongst the Muslims community, assuring that NASFAT will continued to foster peaceful coexistence amongst the diverse.

    Although, he said the emphasis on the division amongst the Muslims is some times being hype, given it negative colouration which he said it is not so.

    “Muslims are the most United group in the world. As a Muslim, you can pray anywhere you wishes to pray around the world, and that is not applicable to other groups,” he said.

    While speaking, he cautioned that parents should not allow their wards to be used for thuggery in the forthcoming general elections, encouraging that Muslims should conduct themselves accordingly, before, during and after the elections.

    The Chairman of NASFAT, Kaduna Branch, Engr. Muhyideen Alimi Yusuf, speaking on the N50m education endowment fund noted that establishment of a standard educational institutions is part of the association’s priority.

    According to him, “the NASFAT Model School is part of our charity services and is an on going project that ensures that all Muslims and members of the immediate communities have easy and affordable access to Western and Islamic Education”.

    In an interview, NASFAT Matron worldwide, Hajiya Amina Namadi Sambo pledged to always support the society.

    Speaking further, she called on all Muslims to make efforts at ensuring that wearing of hijab is not prevented by any group or institution.
