Suspected bandits on Tuesday afternoon attacked some village communities in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State and allegedly killed twenty persons including the elder sister of the embattled, Sen. Kabiru Garba Marafa.
Witness account from Aliyu Bawa Mada availed to Nigerian Pilot said the bandits have at about 6.00pm last Monday, simulteniously stormed the communities of Ruwan Bore, Fegin Mahe, Tudun Wadan Mai Jatau and Dakoka, killing many and setting houses and food items ablaze.
The witness further narrates that the bandits killed thirteen persons in Tudun Wada village and set many houses and large quantity of food stock ablaze.
Mada said in a similar simultenious attack, the bandits also burnt to ashes, a number of houses, shops and many food stores.
In Ruwan Bore community, it appeared that the specific target was the elder sister of Senator Marafa who, according to the witness, the killers have forked a rifle into her mouth and shot her dead.
He said after killing the woman, the hoodlums abducted her husband and a boy related the family.
It is recalled that the bandits have last Sunday, attacked the Tudun Wada community and killed nine persons, bringing the number of casualties to twenty-two after the subsequent attack the following day. ENDs
