Letter: Don’t Rubbish Buhari’s Integrity, Resign, Zamfara Stakeholders Tell AGF

    Condemnations have trailed the purported letter sent to INEC by Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), describing the letter as a deliberate plan to rubbish the integrity of President Muhammadu Buhari.

    Speaking to newsmen in Gusau, Zamfara State capital, Zamfara State APGA governorship candidate, Alhaji Sani Shinkafi while condemning the letter, said the AGF should resign for sending such a letter.

    “This is a deliberate plan to rubbish the hard earned integrity of President Buhari for trying to do illegally in the polity”, he said.

    APGA candidate said the people of Zamfara State were vehemently against such call and would not accept undemocratic tendencies of the APC.

    Shinkafi said the issue of Zamfara APC was very clear to political stakeholders, that the contending parties have failed to agree on the conduct of primary election.

    He described the stand of INEC as best for democracy as an independent umpire, stressing, electorate in Zamfara state were solidly INEC and any action on the contrary would be rejected.

    Also,  commenting, the state chairman of the  National Rescue Movement,  NRM, Alhaji Abdullahi Anka wondered why the AGF would resort to sending such a letter.

    He said, the people were not would never succumb to such intimidation.

    ” It is quite unfortunate, if Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, could engage in an attempt to rob democracy, saying “postponement of election was robbing democracy and such would not accepted in Zamfara state.
