The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna State chapter has said that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) took the undemocratic move of postponing the election to avert its imminent defeat.

This was contained in a statement by the Kaduna State Publicity Secretary, Abraham Alberah Catoh, made available on Saturday.

“The postponement of the Presidential and National Assembly elections on the day of the election is the greatest embarrassement and undemocratic moves in the history of Nigeria’s electoral process.

“We condemn this in its entirety, and call on the National Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission,INEC, Prof. Yaqub Mahmood to resign ! The Commission has compromised, from the look of things,” it stated.

PDP said that it is aware of the interference of the APC led Federal Government in the affairs of the INEC, to arm twist or thwart the elections, because of the impending defeat starring President Muhammadu Buhari and the entire APC in the face.

“The PDP and its millions of supporters across the length and breath of our country, will not relent in our resolve and determination to send the APC government packing in the general elections.

“We call on our teeming members and Supporters ,especially in Kaduna State and beyond, to remain calm and continue the struggle.

We, together, with our PVCs, shall kick the APC out of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House and Aso Rock Villa, by God’s grace. Yes, we can!

“Do not despair in the face of the adversity , victory is insight!!” It concluded.
