The Zamfara State Governorship candidate of the Advance Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA), Alhaji Mohammed Sani Takori has withdrawn from the race.

Speaking in an interview in Gusau, Takori said his withdrawal from the governorship race was  to support the governorship and all candidates  of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

He said his action was a follow up to the decision of the national headquarters which adopted President Muhammadu Buhari as 2019 presidential candidate of the party.

“You will recall that our Presidential candidates, Mohammed Shittu yesterday adopted President Buhari as the party candidate with a promise to work for the success of the President in the Saturday election”, he said.

Hon.Takori said he joined the governorship race to contribute his quota to the development of Zamfara and not for selfish interest, “now i  have withdrawn for APC candidate which i pray for more development of the state”.

According to him,”I am a patriotic citizen of Zamfara and will abide by the decision of our great party to support candidates of the APC for development of our state”.

He enjoyed APDA supporters in the state to always remain committed and law abiding members, avoid thuggery,be loyal, dedicated and supportive to developmental activities in the state.
