Polls: Massive Turn Out Recorded In Zamfara

    There was massive turn out of voters in Maradun, Talata Mafara and Bakura local government areas in Zamfara State.

    An assessment visit to some polling units, indicated that, electorate have stormed election centres at early as 7:00 o’clock to exercise their civil responsibility.

    At Mohammed Tambari Primary School, Maradun, where Ladan Hako, polling unit is stationed,  our correspondent observed that, INEC officials along with party agents were busy sorting out election materials.

    The Presiding said, there was no problem regarding the supply of the  materials.

    At Mallan Isah polling unit, in Talata Mafara, only voters were at the election centre since 7:00 up to 10:00 o’clock election has not started.

    One Pastor Amendau Odige lamented delay in the commencement of the voting.

    “This is my third time of coming but yet no INEC officials no materials to start voting, I don’t know what is delaying the process”, he added.

    At Rini, in Bakura local government, electorate have turned out massively for the election.

    At Galadima polling unit, there was no ballot papers for the senatorial contest.

    An APC, House of Representative contestant, for Bakura/Maradun federal constituency, Alhaji Muttaka Rini expressed confidence with the INEC readiness for the election.

    He also, noted with satisfaction the security arrangements in the state.
