One year after evading justice, officers and men of the Swift Operations Squad (SOS) of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested a suspected cultists, David Jimoh over the alleged murder of one Brume Julius Umukoro.
The suspect who is a member of Vikings Confraternity a.k.a. Barga was arrested during a mass raid by men of the SOS on Monday March 25, AUTHENTIC News DAILY reports.
The suspect, David Jimoh is currently cooling off his heels at the Ovwian/Aladja Police Divisional Headquarters.
It was learnt that David Jimoh invited the late Brume Julius Umukoro to his elder brother’s place in Aladja Community where he allegedly shot him dead on April 13,2018.
Since after the incident, David Jimoh allegedly evaded justice before he was arrested. The suspect was identified at the Police Station by the brother of the deceased, Festus’ Umukoro,who had gone there for another matter.
The suspect confessed to the crime when the Divisional Police Officer of Ovwian/Aladja Division,SP Idoko.Zeletus Okwudili quized him.
He however pleaded that,” it was not intentional.”
When Our Correspondent sought the views of the Divisional Police Officer,SP Idoko.Zeletus Okwudili on the matter, he said, “The PPRO will call you and give you details. We are still investigating and we have not gotten enough information.”
Contacted, the Delta State Commissioner of Police CP Adeyinka Adeleke after several hours said,”Yes. Check at SCID on Monday”.
