Yari Approves N30,000 Minimum Wage For Zamfara

    Governor AbdulAziz Yari of  Zamfara State has agreed to pay the minimum wage of #30’000 to workers in the state.

    Declaring opened the 6th quadrennial delegate conference of the Nigeria Labour Congress  (NLC) in Gusau, Zamfara state, Yari said the incoming administration of Governor elect would be friendly to workers in the state.

    He maintained that the incoming administration would sustain the existing labour relation with state government.

    Governor Yari also promised to invest one billion naira for the payment of gratuity before he handover to the incoming governor in the state.

    In his opening remark, the state NLC chairman comrade Bashir Muhammad  expressed satisfaction with support being given to the NLC by the state government.

    “We recall with nostalgia how you have been able to settle billions of naira for the payment of gratuity through the release of one hundred thousand  monthly and attach payment of pension along side salaries” , he added.
