Our correspondent who visited the IDPs camp at Lugbe FCT, reports that many people in the camp from the North-East who spoke with our reporter said that they are nostalgic of their home and called on 9th Senate to help them to return to their homes by electing the Kano South senator as the deputy senate president in the new dispensation.

Malam Goni Bulama who spoke on behalf others in the camp said that the call became necessary because the senator as a member of the Senate proposed North-East Development Commission (NEDC) and have tendency and capabilities of doing more if given for ensuring that the North-East is secured for the indigenes to return home without further delay.

He added that if the federal government is as serious as Senator Gaya in looking into their plight, they could have returned home since.

Bulama plead with the parties and politicians not to play politics with the issue but elect the Senate Committee chairman on Works as deputy senate president for speedy implementation of policies for a brighter future of the displaced people.
