Stakeholders at the Lere Local Government Area One-day Quarterly Budget Performance Review Town-Hall Meeting have hailed the local government chairman for embarking on projects that have impacted positively on the electorate.
They expressed this on Friday June 28, 2019 at the meeting, held in Saminaka.
Emir of Lere, Brigadier General Abubakar Garba Muhammad speaking at the meeting, said that irrespective of party differences, all should come together to work for the development of the LGA.
An aspirant of the Kaduna State House of Assembly under tge Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Munira Suleiman Tanimu, said that projects executed by the Lere LGA Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Buba was unprecedented and never has there been so much progress in the LGA.
“I am PDP but my love for Lere is beyond party affiliation. The progress recorded within the last one year is massive band I can’t hold back.
“People are wondering what a PDP member is doing on the high table. I am for good governance and would appreciate good things happening in my area.
“Over 100 projects in a year by a local government area is a huge one and progress is being made,” she added.
Speaking on behalf of civil society organization co chair of OGP Lere LGA, Ladi Makawa Bonat she said they will continue to support the LGA administration, while putting it on its toes for good governance.
She praised the chairman for delivering good governance within a short period of time.
“This is the third budget performance town hall meeting. I want to to congratulate the chairman on his one year in office and call on CSOs to support him to achieve more,” she added.
Several dignitaries, notable among whom was the spokesman to former Kaduna State Governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, Alhaji Ahmed Maiyaki, were spotted at the engagement.
